February 23, 2021 (INDIANAPOLIS) - Among the Indiana companies that have rallied to adapt to the current climate and new ways of operating, Elements Financial has been named again to the Best Places to Work in Indiana. A total of 125 businesses have been announced as part of this annual program, started in 2006 and presented by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce. The honored organizations are categorized by size, from as small as 15 to major employers with 2,300 on staff. The top workplaces in the state are determined through employer reports and comprehensive employee surveys.
Joining companies throughout the state and across a range of industries, Elements has landed among the honorees in the second-largest category of Medium Companies (75 to 249 employees). Employers that have displayed sustained excellence are also awarded Hall of Fame designations, if named to the list at least 60% of the time in the program’s 16-year history or at least 10 times. Elements is one of only 19 organizations among the entire list to meet that criteria, after appearing 11 times now among the Best Places to Work.
"During a year no one could have predicted, Elements Financial came through 2020 as the healthy credit union our members expect us to be. Through multiple challenges, our dedicated employees stayed engaged in our purpose-driven culture, even while the majority of our staff worked remotely," said Lisa Schlehuber, CEO of Elements, "We continued to provide valuable compensation and benefits to our workforce, and they paid us back daily with their hard work and pride in what we do – providing financial wellness and our industry’s best products and services through workplaces and digital channels."
Indiana Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Kevin Brinegar states “With the extreme and unexpected challenges of 2020, we were delighted to see the program participation level stay relatively flat and that so many Hoosier companies responded to the pandemic in a way that their employees greatly appreciated. Company culture went far beyond the official benefits and perks to worker safety and taking job flexibility to levels that most couldn’t have imagined. All the employers honored should be especially proud to be on the list this year.”
The 2020 Best Places to Work in Indiana celebration, sponsored by Ivy Tech Community College, will be presented on May 6, either as a virtual or hybrid event (to be determined). At that point, Elements will learn its annual ranking and will share that news broadly with employees, members, and the community.
